City Government Targets New Investment of Rp35 Billion This Year

PADANG PANJANG, kiprahkita.net - This year, the City Government of Padang Panjang is targeting a new investment value of Rp35 billion.

To achieve this target, several steps have been taken by the Office of Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services (DPMPTSP).

Padang Panjang City has limited investment potential, influenced by factors such as land availability and land ownership patterns.

Nevertheless, investment remains a crucial factor for the city's economic development. Therefore, the government continues to make efforts to develop investments.

"Among the efforts are increasing service speed by eliminating the recommendation requirement in the health sector, thereby reducing the time needed for the licensing process," said Assistant II to the City Secretary, Ewasoska, SH.

During the Socialization and Technical Guidance (Bimtek) on Business Licensing and Supervision for MSMEs in Padang Panjang City on Monday (8/7/2024), Ewasoska mentioned other conveniences.

These include the automatic issuance of a Business Identification Number (NIB) once the requirements are met. Documents that have been fully uploaded are immediately processed by the technical OPD through a web-based application.

"Recommendations that have been issued are immediately processed through the operating system on the same day. Online licensing service facilities are provided, saving time," he explained.

In addition, Ewasoska added, DPMPTSP also conducts proactive licensing services directly to the community and vulnerable groups (people with disabilities, the elderly).

The provision of online licensing service facilities allows the public to apply from anywhere and provides payment channels through non-cash transactions.

Padang Panjang City has limited investment potential, Ewasoska added, influenced by factors such as land availability and land ownership patterns.

He stated that this socialization can help MSME actors understand the latest regulations and rules related to business licensing. This knowledge is important so that their businesses can operate according to the prevailing laws and avoid sanctions.

Moreover, this activity can increase business legality, making it easier to access financing where businesses with official licenses are more likely to obtain financing from banks and other financial institutions. This is important for the development and expansion of MSMEs.

"MSMEs can also increase their competitiveness. MSME actors who understand and comply with licensing and business supervision regulations have higher competitiveness. Thus, they can operate more efficiently and professionally, ultimately increasing consumer trust," he said.

Meanwhile, the Secretary of DPMPTSP, Tismaria, SE, M.Si, conveyed that this technical guidance is held for two days and attended by 60 MSME actors.

It is hoped that all MSMEs can understand all the regulations issued by the Government related to business licensing.

"Through this activity, MSMEs can operate legally, efficiently, and competitively, thus supporting regional economic growth," she said.

MSMEs can utilize the facilities provided by the government, Tismaria added, such as socialization and training. Immediately obtain business legality in the form of NIB. Understand the use of the internet and social media for product marketing.

"MSME actors can coordinate with the City Government through related OPDs to seize opportunities that can be utilized," she concluded. (kominfopp/cigus)
