JAKARTA, kiprahkita.com - On Thursday (25/7), the Mudir of Kauman Muhammadiyah Islamic Boarding School in Padang Panjang, Dr. Derliana, and her entourage visited the Egyptian Embassy in Indonesia.
Dr. Derliana, accompanied by Deputy Mudir Surya Bunawan and Insan Hasibuan, was received by Ambassador Dr. Yasser Hassan Farag Elshemy at the Egyptian Embassy office, Menteng 68, Jakarta.
During the meeting, the team from Kauman Muhammadiyah Islamic Boarding School in Padang Panjang shared various aspects of their school and discussed significant plans that are currently being formulated.
"This meeting is an important moment for us to establish and enhance closer cooperation in the future," said Dr. Derliana.
According to her, many significant and historic issues were discussed during the meeting, particularly concerning the facilitation and ease for Kauman alumni to continue their education in Egypt.
Additionally, Dr. Derliana mentioned that the discussions also included concrete steps to improve the quality and learning processes at Kauman as part of the internationalization agenda of Kauman.
"A heartfelt thank you is extended to the Kauman Pesantren Supervisory Board (BPP), who has provided full support to the team to continue innovating. Special thanks also go to Ustadz Daud Lintang, who has always assisted and supported every step of the team," she said.
This meeting is expected to be the beginning of more intensive collaboration between Kauman Muhammadiyah Islamic Boarding School in Padang Panjang and the Egyptian Embassy in Indonesia, for the advancement of education and the development of the boarding school in a better direction.

In addition to the meeting with the Egyptian Ambassador, initial cooperation has also been established with the Mandarin Language Center of Al-Azhar University Indonesia on Wednesday (24/7).
The delegation was received by the Rector of Al-Azhar University Indonesia, Prof. Asep Saefuddin, along with the Vice Rector for Cooperation Dr. Faisal Hendra, and the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Dr. Zirmansya.
Dr. Derliana mentioned that mastering Mandarin is a crucial key to opening various opportunities in the future, considering China is one of the most influential countries in the world.
With this collaboration, she hopes that the students of Kauman Muhammadiyah Islamic Boarding School in Padang Panjang will be more prepared to compete internationally.
Additionally, Dr. Derliana stated that this also strengthens their commitment to providing comprehensive and quality education for the students.
During the meeting, various important points were discussed, including the emphasis on the importance of Mandarin in the international world.
"China has made tremendous progress and has a significant influence on the world. Therefore, it is essential for the younger generation to master Mandarin. If they learn Mandarin and deepen their understanding of Chinese culture, their future opportunities will be broader," said Prof. Asep.
As information, Al-Azhar University Indonesia has been offering a Bachelor's program in Mandarin Literature since 2005.
The alumni of this program have spread across various institutions, offices, both government and private sectors, and even abroad.
This collaboration opens up great opportunities for the students of Kauman Muhammadiyah Islamic Boarding School in Padang Panjang to continue their education at the Mandarin Language Center of Al-Azhar University Indonesia. (mus)
