PADANG PANJANG, kiprahkita.net - If everything goes according to plan, the IMI Padang Panjang Open Road Race Championship 2024 will compete for the Kapolres Cup.
The event will be holds on Sunday (14/7/2024) at the Khatib Sulaiman Bancahlaweh Temporary Circuit (NP). The IMI is Ikatan Motor Indonesia or Indonesian MotorAssociation.
The Chief Organizer, Yufa Andila, SE, told that this event, held to commemorate the 78th Bhayangkara Day, is expected to be participated by around 400 motorbike racers from West Sumatra and Riau.
"There are 17 classes competing. Among them are five open classes, three open beginner classes, two West Sumatra beginner classes, three local beginner classes, two non-champion classes, and two coaching classes," he said.
Besides the Kapolres Cup, winners will receive trophies and cash prizes. "For spectators, the entrance ticket is IDR 30,000. There are door prizes for lucky spectators," he added.
He hopes this event can provide an exciting and entertaining spectacle for motor racing enthusiasts and boost the local economy.
"With participants coming from out of town and even out of the province, it will automatically boost our MSMEs' economy," he explained.
