PADANG PANJANG, kiprahkita.net – God willing, the pilgrims from Padang Panjang who are part of Group 10 will arrive back in Indonesia early Friday morning (July 5, 2024).
The group is traveling on Garuda Indonesia flight GA 3410, a Boeing 777 Series 300 ER, departing from Amir Muhammad bin Abdul Aziz (AMAA) Airport in Medina.
The group leader, Mhd Israk, along with his team, has reminded the pilgrims to comply with all applicable regulations and rules.
"The allowable luggage for the pilgrims includes a passport bag, a cabin bag with a maximum weight of 7 kg, and a large suitcase (checked baggage) with a maximum weight of 32 kg, which will be transported via cargo," he said.
Each pilgrim will receive one 5-liter bottle of Zamzam water. They are prohibited from carrying any size or packaging of Zamzam water in their hand luggage."If Zamzam water is found in a pilgrim's suitcase, it will be unpacked, then confiscated, and will be sent to Indonesia separately from the group," he emphasized.
Pilgrims are also prohibited from carrying nail clippers, knives, folding knives, or razors in their cabin bag or passport bag.
"The maximum amount of money that can be carried is Rp100,000,000 per pilgrim. Items purchased abroad will be subject to import duties and taxes if the value exceeds USD 500 (approximately Rp8,000,000)," he added.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Religious Affairs Office (Kankemenag) and the Padang Panjang city government have prepared NPM or Vircansa buses to transport the pilgrims to the Padang Hajj Dormitory.
The head of Kankemenag, Drs. H. Alizar, M.Ag, accompanied by PHU head Editiawarman, explained that the city government has provided exceptional facilitation for the Padang Panjang pilgrims.
"From departure to the pick-up process during their return, the city government and related parties have always supported the pilgrims," he said.
As planned, a total of 80 pilgrims will be picked up by their families at the Padang Panjang Islamic Center Complex before Friday prayers. (kominfopp/shintia)
