RAPI Padang Panjang Deploys TRC to Search for Missing Tambangan Resident

TANAH DATAR, kiprahkita.net - The Rapid Response Team (TRC) of the Indonesian Radio Community (RAPI) Region 06 Padang Panjang, has been deployed to search for a missing person in Nagari Tambangan, X Koto Tanah Datar District, on Sunday (7/7).

Led by the Deputy Chairman III of RAPI Padang Panjang, Suwandi Arizona, the TRC team, consisting of five members, combed the area to locate Adri (51 years old), a resident of Tambangan who has been missing since June 29, 2024.

According to Suwandi, today's search will continue until there is a clear indication of the survivor's whereabouts. "Hopefully, we can find the survivor safe and sound," he said.

The family in Sungai Rayo Jirek Nagari Tambangan stated that the survivor has been living alone without immediate family.

"We are the extended family of the person in question," said one of the residents accompanying TRC RAPI Padang Panjang at the location.

The family mentioned that the survivor has been experiencing mental health issues. "He has been hospitalized several times in Padang, and when he left home on June 29, he was in good health," said another family member.

On the day of his disappearance, a resident near the survivor's garden encountered him. "At that time, he said he was only going to the vicinity of the garden," said the resident.

The resident who saw the survivor mentioned that the survivor crossed the river near the garden.

On the ninth day of the search, TRC RAPI Padang Panjang, along with the local Jorong Head and residents, found a keris near the hut where the survivor's bag and sarong were found the previous day.

"We don't know if the black-sheathed keris is related to the survivor. Based on the residents' request, we placed the keris back in its original position," said Radi Alfurqani, a member of TRC RAPI Padang Panjang at the search location.

Until noon, just before Zuhur prayers, TRC RAPI Padang Panjang continued the search. "After rest and prayer, we will resume the search," said Suwandi, the team leader. (rel)
