The Government Takes Care of the People

PASAMAN BARAT, kiprahkita.net - A coordination meeting between the Nagari Government, the Regional Government of Pasaman Barat, and community leaders focused on evaluating completed tasks and identifying unmet community needs.

This initiative reflects the collective responsibility of government officials to serve the people.

This was expressed by Bupati Pasbar, Hamsuardi, accompanied by Head of the Department of Community Empowerment and Nagari (DPMN) Defi Irawan, Head of Health Department Hajran Huda, DPMN Secretary Syaikhul Putra, Pasaman Subdistrict Secretary Sofyan Siregar, Wali Nagari Aua Kuniang Darlius, and other stakeholders during an evaluation meeting on Thursday (11/7) at the Wali Nagari Aua Kuniang office, Pasaman Subdistrict.

Bupati Hamsuardi stated that the Regional Government is committed to enhancing the welfare of Pasbar through flagship programs such as the expansion of nagari, free education, rewards for outstanding students and teachers, Universal Health Coverage (UHC), Quran memorization programs (Tahfidz), the appointment of PPPK (Government Employees with a Work Agreement), and more.

He urged nagari officials to continue promoting these flagship programs to the community through door-to-door campaigns.

"We have implemented free healthcare, although there are areas for improvement. That’s why we are here today. We have also expanded the nagari, which has brought many benefits, such as increased village funds and more job opportunities, including roles in the nagari administration, bamus (village consultative bodies), and jorong (hamlet). The large-scale rewards for achievements are unprecedented. The Tahfidz program has achieved significant milestones, with some participants memorizing up to eight chapters of the Quran," he explained.

Pasbar Health Department Head Hajran Huda added that as of 2024, approximately 97.24 percent of the 441,773 residents of Pasbar, or about 429,579 people, have received National Health Insurance (JKN) through the Kartu Indonesia Sehat (JKN-KIS) program.

Additionally, about 163,136 people are covered through the APBN (State Budget) and 114,808 are accommodated through the PBPU (Non-wage Worker) scheme funded by the Pasaman Barat Regional Government.

"As of May 2024, 97.24 percent of Pasaman Barat residents are served through JKN, funded by APBN, APBD (Regional Budget), or independently by the community, including wage recipients such as civil servants, military personnel, police officers, state officials, and PPPK whose premiums are funded by their employers and themselves. We can confirm that since the implementation of the free healthcare program, the number of people seeking treatment at community health centers and hospitals has increased significantly," he stated.(kominfo psb)
