PASBAR, kiprahkita.net - The Youth Volleyball Tournament of Karang Taruna Nagari Lubuak Landua Aua Kuniang, Pasaman District, officially kicked off with an opening ceremony on Thursday, August 1.
The event was inaugurated by Regent Hamsuardi, accompanied by TP-PKK Chairwoman Ny. Titi Hamsuardi, representatives from the Youth and Sports Department (Kadispora), the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI), the head of the regional water company (PDAM), representatives from the Pasaman Sub-district, Bamus, and other related stakeholders.
In his opening remarks, Regent Hamsuardi praised the efforts of Karang Taruna Lubuak Landua Aua Kuniang in purchasing the volleyball court and extended his gratitude to the organization and the local community.
He assured that the local government is committed to providing sports facilities that will help the youth of West Pasaman (Pasbar) achieve greater success.
"Thank you to Karang Taruna and the Lubuk Landua community, along with the nagari head, jorong, Bamus, and ninik mamak, for their enthusiasm and active participation in organizing training sessions and this tournament in Nagari Aua Kuniang. We hope this tournament will continue in the future," he said.
Regent Hamsuardi further announced that as a form of support, the Pasbar government, through KONI, is providing a grant of IDR 12 million.
Additionally, he mentioned plans to allocate budget for the court's renovation through the 2025 regional budget (APBD).
Acting Nagari Head Rilvi Hamdani expressed his gratitude for Regent Hamsuardi's presence and appreciated the efforts of the organizing committee. He believes the tournament will unite all parties in building a better future for Pasbar.
Andrika Putra Pratama, the chairman of the organizing committee, stated that the tournament is planned to be an annual event.
He emphasized that the court used is a youth-owned facility purchased by Karang Taruna and appealed for the local government's support in providing adequate sports infrastructure so that Lubuk Landua's youth can compete in larger sports events.
At the end of the ceremony, Regent Hamsuardi, along with other stakeholders, handed over volleyball equipment from the Youth and Sports Department and performed the first volleyball serve to mark the beginning of the tournament.
The opening match featured the host team, Lubuk Landua, against the Lingkisau team.(kominfo psb)
