DEPOK, kiprahkita.net – A total of 9,074 students from the University of Indonesia (UI) successfully completed their education in the Even Semester of 2023/2024, representing all study programs and levels (Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral).
Due to the large number of graduates, UI held this grand academic event over two days, Saturday-Sunday, August 24-25, 2024, at the UI Campus in Depok.
Among the nearly ten thousand graduates was Teguh Islami Sriadiputra from the Faculty of Law. Teguh is a distinguished graduate, as he is the first grandchild of the late Kalimaskun Siregar and the late Zulaiha Tambunan (Pasaman) to earn a degree from one of the world's leading universities.
From the lineage of the late Musanif and the late Mariani (Pasaman Barat), Teguh is the third grandchild to achieve a bachelor's degree, following in the footsteps of his cousins, Ulva and Alwi, who graduated earlier.
Teguh is the eldest son of Musriadi Musanif, S.Th.I, (Coordinator for Singgalang Daily, Tanah Datar Regency/media online kiprahkita.com) and Yusriana Siregar, S.Pd., (teacher at MTsN Padang Panjang, West Sumatra).
Teguh’s educational journey began at TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Kauman, followed by Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Rahmah El-Yunusiyah, MTsN Padang Panjang, and SMAN 1 Padang Panjang. As the eldest son of the Chairman of the Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership (PDM) Padang Panjang Batipuh X Koto, he successfully completed all stages of his education on time with outstanding grades.
His success has brought immense joy to his entire family and relatives. Congratulations and prayers for his success as a Bachelor of Law have poured in from both the Kalimaskun family and the extended Ismail (his grandfather) and Taha-Badinah (his grandmother) families.
"Congratulations to Teguh Sriadiputra, may you continue to succeed and bring honor to the family, receiving even more blessings from Allah," read one of the many congratulatory messages from his family.
Teguh’s graduation ceremony was attended by his father, Musriadi Musanif, and his mother, Yusriana. Also present were his two younger siblings, Anggia Khalidi Sriadiputra, currently studying at Semarang State University, and Yola Annisa Sriadiputri, along with his uncle Adimaja Siregar who traveled from Panyabungan, North Sumatra, and other relatives including Aunt Ermayani, Uncle Dolin, Aunt Ira, Cousins Ivan and Rizik, Hanum, and Grandmother Umak Adon.
Notably, Teguh also received personal congratulations from the Deputy Chairperson of the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI), Dr. Jasra Putra, M.Pd., and the Secretary of the Environmental Affairs Council of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), Dr. Suhardin, M.Pd.
Each UI graduation ceremony often features unique and attention-grabbing moments, whether from the graduates themselves or the students and alumni. This year’s ceremony was enlivened by an exhibition of graduation photos from various eras and a special performance by Paragita, UI's choir, led by AG. Sudibyo.
There were also creative and humorous acts by the graduates. When the camera focused on them, some held up their phones displaying various messages such as "Bismillah Passed the 2024 Civil Servant Exam," "Job Info," "For Dad in Heaven," "Today I Graduate," and the popular phrase "Sorry Yura, My Graduation Partner is Far Away."
Others displayed phrases like "Looking for a Match, Guys" and "Bismillah, Married in 2025" on their gadgets.
Head of Public Relations and Information Bureau (KIP) UI, Dra. Amelita Lusia, M.Si., expressed her delight at the display of creativity. "It's a joy to see. They truly enjoyed this event with great enthusiasm and optimism," she said.(*)
