TANAH DATAR, kiprahkita.net - The Satu Nagari Satu Event (SNSE) is one of the flagship programs designed to provide various benefits, including the preservation of local customs and culture as well as boosting the economy in the nagari (village).
This was highlighted by Bupati (Regent) Eka Putra when he officially opened the Koto Baru Cultural Festival, known as Basinggang, at the Balai-balai Nagari Koto Baru in Sungai Tarab District, on Tuesday (September 17, 2024).
"The Satu Nagari Satu Event program serves as a crucial moment, inspiring traditional leaders to pass down their knowledge of customs to the younger generations," he said.
Meanwhile, Eka added, women showcase their nagari’s traditional cuisine, and the local economy thrives through the presence of culinary markets at the event location/
He further emphasized the program’s ability to nurture the potential of local youth in the arts, leading to the growth of dance and cultural art centers in nagari.
"As seen today, I witnessed the young people performing the colossal 'Singgang' dance, along with the Marapi Art Fashion Show, which I am seeing for the first time as part of Satu Nagari Satu Event. These performances deserve recognition, and the Singgang dance is worthy of being showcased at Istano Basa Pagaruyung this December," he added.
Eka also expressed his gratitude to the Nagari Government, the organizing committee, local community leaders, and the people of Koto Baru for successfully implementing the Satu Nagari Satu Event program.
During the occasion, Bupati also introduced a new initiative: "Tanah Datar Sehat, Merdeka Berobat" (Healthy Tanah Datar, Free Healthcare), aimed at providing free medical treatment to all residents of Tanah Datar.
"We have launched free medical treatment at M. Ali Hanafiah Batusangkar Hospital, and referrals to other hospitals will continue to be covered by the government, free of charge," bupati urged.
We will also assist with clearing outstanding BPJS payments for residents in need. This program is intended to alleviate the burden on our sick residents. Please, if you are ill, take advantage of this program.
