SOLOK, kiprahkita.net - Governor of West Sumatra, Mahyeldi Ansharullah, officially closed the three-day Rang Solok Baralek Gadang (RSBG) event, held in the rice fields of Solok, Tanah Garam Village, Lubuk Sikarah District, Solok City, on Saturday, September 21, 2024.
In his speech, Mahyeldi expressed his gratitude and high appreciation to all the organizers who worked hard to ensure the success of the event from start to finish.
"First, I would like to thank everyone involved, including the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, members of the Regional Legislative Council (DPRD), the Solok City Government, sponsors, and the people of Solok City for their synergy and support in making the 2024 Rang Solok Baralek Gadang event a success," said Mahyeldi.
The governor emphasized the broad benefits of the event, which could be felt by various groups, including local communities, MSMEs, and the regional tourism sector. Based on reports from various parties and his own observations, Mahyeldi confirmed that the 2024 RSBG event was a success.
"Alhamdulillah, thanks to the collaboration of many parties, the 2024 Rang Solok Baralek Gadang event went smoothly and successfully. God willing, this event has brought benefits to many," he remarked.
Mahyeldi also reminded all guests that, in addition to RSBG, West Sumatra offers many other exciting events across its 19 districts and cities, each reflecting the unique characteristics of the region. He added that six of these events have already been included in the national event calendar and the 2024 Kharisma Event Nusantara (KEN) list.
"The West Sumatra Provincial Government is strongly committed to developing the region's tourism and creative economy, and one of the ways we are implementing this is through the organization of various events throughout the districts and cities," he emphasized.
Meanwhile, Solok Mayor Zul Elfian Umar echoed similar sentiments. He attributed the success of the 2024 Rang Solok Baralek Gadang event to the support and cooperation of many parties, not just between government agencies, but also with the community.
The Solok City Government collaborated with religious leaders, traditional leaders (ninik mamak), Bundo Kanduang (female elders), and the younger generation, involving and embracing everyone.
"This is what ensured everything went smoothly. Hopefully, this synergy will continue, making it easier to achieve our vision of Solok as a champion, prosperous, and blessed city," said Zul Elfian. (adpsb)
