PADANG PANJANG, kiprahkita.net — The MTsN (Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri) Kota Padang Panjang community recently bid farewell to three of its top students, Fadil Akmal, Faris Hilmi Dermawan, and Alfa Rafelio, who are set to participate in the 2024 National Science Competition for Madrasah or Kompetisi Sain Madrasah (KSM) in Ternate, North Maluku, from September 3-8, 2024.
The send-off ceremony was held on Saturday (31/8) in the office of the MTsN Padang Panjang Headmaster.
The event was attended by Headmaster Firmawati Anwar, Chairman of the School Committee M. Nur Idris, MH, Secretary of the Committee Akmal Firdaus, along with deputy headmasters Renida Yusmad, Ahmad Darmawan, Metra Azimi, accompanying teacher Fitria Rakhmayanti, and the parents of the three students.
In her remarks, Firmawati encouraged the students to stay motivated, maintain their health, and be confident throughout the competition.
"Stay motivated, my dear students. We are all praying for your success in the upcoming KSM. Take good care of yourselves, stay healthy, and face the competition calmly. The entire MTsN Padang Panjang community is praying for your success," she said.
M. Nur Idris also expressed his appreciation and hopes for the three students representing the school in this year’s National Science Competition.
"Safe travels and best of luck in the KSM. We will always be praying for and supporting you three, hoping that you achieve the best results and become champions. If you succeed, we will prepare a reward for you," he said, encouraging the students.
The ceremony concluded with a prayer led by Deputy Headmaster Metra Azimi, as well as the presentation of pocket money from the School Committee.
The students and their parents also had the opportunity to take photos together before departing for the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) in Padang, where they will gather with other participants from West Sumatra.
According to the schedule organized by Kanwil Kemenag Sumbar, the 2024 KSM participants will depart from Padang to Jakarta in the evening and continue their journey to Ternate in the early hours of the next morning. (kiprahkita.com)
