The Budget Realization is Monitored to Progress Slowly

PADANG PANJANG, kiprahkita.net - In an effort to enhance integrity and transparency in budget management, the Padang Panjang City Government, through the Inspectorate, held an Anti-Corruption Socialization on Budget Planning on Thursday (December 19, 2024), in the Meeting Room on the third floor of Bappeda.

During the event, Acting Mayor (Pj) Sonny Budaya Putra, A.P, M.Si, highlighted several key points regarding the 2025 budget planning process. "As we approach the new year, we are focusing on two main priorities: the preparation of the Long-Term Regional Development Plan (RPJPD) for 2025-2045 and the drafting of the Medium-Term Regional Development Plan (RPJMD) six months after the inauguration of the elected regional head. Additionally, we are aligning our efforts with the Regional Development Work Plan (RKPD) and Work Plans (Renja)," he explained.

Sonny emphasized the importance of meticulous planning as a crucial indicator of program success.

"We need to anticipate challenges and take the initiative within our regional apparatus organizations (OPD). Professional preparation and a demonstration of integrity are essential," he stated firmly.

However, he acknowledged the slow realization of the current budget, which, as of December 10, stood at 80.10%.

"This is a recurring issue we face every year, falling far short of the desired target. Through this socialization, we hope to strengthen our commitment to maintaining clean and corruption-free regional financial management," he expressed.

Inspector Dr. Syahril, M.H, CGCAE, earlier explained that the socialization aimed to deepen understanding of the importance of corruption-free budget planning and to raise awareness about the significance of transparency in regional budget preparation.

"This activity is attended by secretaries and functional planners from each OPD, and it is expected to enhance their awareness and commitment to drafting accountable and corruption-free budgets," he stated.

He also reminded all parties to remain committed to upholding integrity to avoid issues that could harm the region.

"This socialization is also part of the Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK) Monitoring and Evaluation Program (MCP), with specific points serving as indicators of success," he added.  (kominfopdp)
