PADANG PANJANG, kiprahkita.net - Deputy Chief (Waka) of Padang Panjang Police, Commissioner Eridal, S.H., directly led an inspection of service firearms owned by personnel of Padang Panjang Police on Monday.

The inspection aimed to ensure that the use of firearms complies with established procedures and to enhance discipline among officers in managing police inventory responsibly.

The inspection took place at the firearm storage facility, accompanied by the Head of the Professional Standards Division (Kasi Propam) and personnel from the Logistics Division.

Each firearm was meticulously examined, including its documentation, physical condition, and the validity of the firearm holder's license.

"This inspection is a routine procedure to ensure that service firearms are used in accordance with regulations. We also want to ensure that firearm holders are qualified and possess valid permits," said the Deputy Chief of Police.

The inspection revealed that some firearms required further maintenance, but all documentation for firearm permits was found to be complete and valid. Commissioner Eridal emphasized the importance of safeguarding firearms to prevent misuse.

"We remind all personnel to remain vigilant and responsible in storing and using these firearms. Safety and security are our top priorities," he added.
